Behind a career-high 33 kills from sophomore outside hitter Evan Hendrix, No. 20 TCU scored much-needed victory during the team’s Senior Day match against Texas Tech on Saturday. Hendrix recorded a .371 hitting percentage for the Horned Frogs, who rallied from a deficit in the fifth set to secure a 27-25, 25-22, 19-25, 21-25, 15-12 win over the Red Raiders. TCU (19-9, 9-7 Big 12) snapped a two-game losing streak and will pick Big 12 action back up with a midweek home match against Baylor on Wednesday evening at Schollmaier Arena.

Ella Foti dished out a team-high 35 assists and Rosemary Archer followed with 20 assists to pace the TCU offense, which posted a .263 hitting rate for the five-set match. Alice Volpe compiled a team-leading 18 digs and Hendrix added 11 digs to secure her double-double for the Horned Frogs, who blocked 15 shots in the win. Sarah Sylvester spearheaded the front-row defense with eight blocks, while Lauren Murphy and Becca Kelley combined for eight blocks and 19 kills. TCU overcame nine service errors and 11 receiving errors to beat the Red Raiders, who were limited to a .186 hitting percentage despite committing fewer errors than the Horned Frogs.
