Harrison Mevis had been an extra-point specialist for the Los Angeles Rams since taking over as their kicker, replacing the benched Joshua Karty on special teams. In his first two games, he went 9-for-9 on PATs and in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he made four more PATs.
Finally, he got to attempt his first NFL field goal late in the second quarter after the Rams failed on third-and-3. It was a 40-yard attempt and Mevis passed the test, drilling it right down the middle for his first career made field goal.

Mevis has only attempted one field goal in the NFL but it's pretty clear he's going to remain the Rams' kicker until he gives up that job.
He's looked good on all of his PATs and now this 40-yard field goal, instilling some much-needed stability on special teams.
