This Friday, several teams in Oklahoma can punch its ticket to play for a state championship.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementSemifinal contests in the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association playoffs for the larger classifications take place on Black Friday. Those include semifinals in classes 6A-I, 6A-II and 5A, with the winners of those games moving on to next week's state title games at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
In Class 6A-I, it will be an all-Tulsa metropolitan area final four. Three-time defending state champion Bixby takes on Broken Arrow in one semifinal, while in the other semifinal, Jenks faces Owasso. Those two semifinal games will be held in another Tulsa suburb, Catoosa.
As for Class 4A, those teams are off this week, as its semifinal games take place next week with the location, date and time yet to be announced.
We’ll update the brackets here each week for Oklahoma’s top three classifications as the playoffs get under way.
