The Washington Commanders have played musical quarterbacks all season. Jayden Daniels started the first two games, then missed time with a sprained knee, so Marcus Mariota took over. Daniels returned for three games before sitting again with a hamstring injury, putting Mariota back on the field for a game. Daniels would return again the next week, only to dislocate his elbow and be forced to miss time again.
In Daniels' absence, Mariota has proven to be a capable backup. Of the seven games he has played this season, only three of them saw the Commanders score less than 20 points. The defense is the reason the Commanders are losing. Looking at Mariota's stats, he's actually quite consistent.
Mariota is nothing if not consistent. In his 11 seasons, he's had just one season with a completion percentage under 60%.

If Daniels isn't ready to return after the bye, Mariota will line up under center when the Commanders host the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football in Week 13.
