Medouar: No official offer from Al Ahly regarding Abada

The president of Olympique de Chlef, Abdelkrim Medouar, has shed light on reports of a possible interest from Al Ahly of Cairo for defender Achref Abada, ahead of a potential move in the upcoming winter transfer window.

Several media outlets recently reported that Achref Abada, who is currently with the Algerian national team at the Arab Cup in Qatar, was among the names being considered by the "Club of the Century" to strengthen their defensive line.

Medouar: No official offer from Al Ahly regarding Abada

Speaking to Egyptian outlet YallaKora, Abdelkrim Medouar denied the existence of any official negotiations with Al Ahly over the player.

He clarified that the circulating reports are nothing more than preliminary contacts, which cannot in any way be considered real negotiations. The president emphasized that the club’s management only deals with formal, written offers.

Medouar also highlighted that Olympique de Chlef remains open to considering any serious proposal received through official channels, making it clear that informal interest does not form the basis of the club’s operations.

He concluded by stating that any official offer will be reviewed and the appropriate decision will be made upon its receipt.
