Regardless of what happens and how things turn out, any negative results of this Eagles season can't be blamed on Howie Roseman.

We've seen a world without Howie Roseman's influence, and truth be told, we didn't like it very much. That era doubles as the reign of terror we refer to as Chip Kelly's tenure as Philadelphia Eagles head coach.

Thankfully, it didn't last long. Kelly lost the team. He was fired, and Howie Roseman was restored to power. Since then, Philadelphia's general manager has helped lead the Eagles to three Super Bowl appearances and two championship wins. He'll find his way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame at some point.

Here's what's beautiful about Roseman's tenure. He's still adding to his resume. This has been an up-and-down season, but you can't blame any of that on him.

Despite where this road leads us and regardless of how everything turns out, Howie Roseman has done his job. There isn't a single thing we can say that is critical of the job he has done or the moves he has made.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman continues to shine. Now, it's up to the players and coaches.

The Eagles lost Josh Sweat this past offseason. Before the regular season even began, nine of this team's players were voted onto the NFL Top 100 Players of 2025 ranking. That includes seven in the top 50.

Jordan Mailata ( 69), Cooper DeJean (60), Quinyon Mitchell (49), Jalen Carter (43), A.J. Brown (29), Zack Baun (26), Lane Johnson (23), Jalen Hurts (19), and Saquon Barkley (1) are all either Howie Roseman draft picks or players he added in free agency.

There were free-agency losses like Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, and Darius Slay. Philadelphia was already prepared for its exits, thanks to previous additions such as Mitchell, DeJean, Jordan Davis, Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, and Jalyx Hunt.

Sure, guys have gotten hurt (Lane Johnson, Andrew Mukuba, Azeez Ojulari, and Ogbo Okoronkwo, among others). Guys have retired (Za'Darius Smith and Jaire Alexander). Things haven't gone Howie Roseman's way, but he continues to turn over every rock.

Jihaad Campbell was added via the NFL Draft. Jaelan Phillips was added at the trade deadline. Tank Bigsby was added thanks to another trade. Philadelphia has underutilized Bigsby and Campbell, but that isn't Howie Roseman's fault.

Adversity has come. People are nervous, and now the Eagles coaches and players must mirror the perseverance of a GM who was disrespected. They must channel their inner-Howie Roseman and climb their way out of their figurative equipment rooms. This roster is stacked. It's time for coaches to develop this talent and put these guys in the proper position.

It's time for players to play outside their minds, but coaches must put them in the best position to succeed. Nick Sirianni has seen both scrutiny and praise. More often than not, he has answered the bell when that has happened, but we have seen a collapse in 2023 and a team play below its standard this season.

There is no excuse for that. We will not tolerate narratives about wasting the seasons of young stars, nor should we. We've witnessed what this team can achieve when it performs at its best. While they may not win the Super Bowl every season, anything less than their best effort will not be accepted.
