This Chinese Anime Is the Only Franchise That Can Beat Solo Leveling

Over the past two years, there hasn't been another anime series quite as successful as Solo Leveling. The first season gained the world's attention, and the second season showed the world why it should stick around. In less than 30 episodes, the series cemented itself as an all-time great, breaking more records than anyone could have seen coming.

Solo Leveling is so dominant that it can be hard to see a future where the hit Korean manhwa adaptation isn't number one, but there's one series in particular that might have a chance at the throne. Lord of Mysteries is the biggest anime/donghua to come out of China in years, and it's looking like a fierce competitor for Solo Leveling.

Lord of Mysteries had such an excellent, ambitious first season that it has the potential to be an all-time great. If there's any series that has a legitimate chance of taking Solo Leveling's crown, it's Lord of Mysteries.

Solo Leveling Is the Current King of Anime...

There Isn't Another Series as Big as Solo Leveling

Not only is there no anime series currently as big as Solo Leveling, there's an argument to be had that Solo Leveling, through two seasons, is one of the best anime series of all time. It's so incredibly captivating that it can be hard to find another anime series to compare it to.

Solo Leveling works because it's incredibly simple. The series stars Sung Jinwoo as the only person in the world capable of getting stronger. Not only does he become a lot stronger than most of the Hunters around him, he quickly becomes the strongest Hunter in the entire series.

The series is electric, the characters are fun, and Solo Leveling also features some of the best fights in anime history, like when Jinwoo takes on the Ant King. It's an amazing series that has earned its top spot, but it won't keep that spot for long if this amazing Chinese series has anything to say.

... But Lord of Mysteries Can Take Its Crown

It Has Serious Potential

Lord of Mysteries is undoubtedly going to be one of the best anime series over the next decade. It's an amazing series with a stellar first season and a backing most mangaka creators could only dream of.

The production studio behind Lord of Mysteries, B.CMAY PICTURES, has already detailed a roadmap for the future of the series, including a few more seasons, some special episodes, and a movie to close everything out. This kind of dedication, coupled with the success of the first season, proves that the future of Lord of Mysteries is looking good.
