Michigan State basketball came into a Thanksgiving matchup against North Carolina looking for another big time signature win during the non-conference season. The Spartans got that signature win.
Michigan State used a big second half to earn a 74-58 win over the Tar Heels.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementTrailing in the first half 22-15 after a Tar Heel run, the Spartans exploded on a 13-0 run, taking a lead they never gave back.
Jaxon Kohler had another double double in this game, scoring 10 points and adding 11 rebounds. Jeremy Fears led the way scoring with 19 points. Carson Cooper (14 points) and Cam Ward (11 points) also ended in double figures for the Spartans.
The Spartans improved to 7-0 on the year, and have earned another signature resume win.
Michigan State's next game will begin Big Ten play when the Spartans face off with Iowa inside of the Breslin Center on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
