Bayern Munich looking to sign Salzburg teen sensation

Bayern Munich is, and has always been, quite good at snapping up talented youngsters and turning them into superstars. This time around, it looks like Bayern is eyeing a particularly skilled teenager who happens to be the U17 World Cup top scorer, despite being a midfielder.

Johannes Moser, Austrian international and player for RB Salzburg’s youth team and FC Liefering, led his team to the U-17 World Cup final after topping the goal scorer list for the tournament. Per a report captured by @iMiaSanMia, for obvious reasons, Bayern Munich have been monitoring his situation, building up to a potential transfer to their ranks. Christoph Freund, Sporting Director at Bayern, happens to know Moser from his time at Salzburg and was the one to initiate this interest, having kept an eye on him ever since his tenure in Austria.

With doubts about Bayern’s current depth chart, perhaps some fresh blood may come in handy to Vincent Kompany and his efforts in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League, but Johannes Moser’s role in VK’s squad would be quite uncertain.
