Eagles PFF grades: Best, worst performers in 24-21 loss to Cowboys

The Eagles are 8-3 and again looking for answers offensively after blowing a 21-point lead as Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey nailed a 42-yard field goal as time expired to give Dallas (5-5-1) a 24-21 lead. The Cowboys have started preparing for a Thanksgiving afternoon matchup against the Chiefs, while Philadelphia has begun prep for a critical Black Friday matchup against the 8-3 Chicago Bears.

The Cowboys (5-5-1) extend Prescott's home winning streak against NFC East opponents to 19 in their first game at AT&T Stadium since the death of defensive end Marshawn Kneeland. Philadelphia lost with a 21-point lead for the first time since 1999, when the Cardinals beat the Eagles 25-24. It was the first win for Dallas when trailing by three touchdowns since the Cowboys beat the Rams 34-31 in 2014.

Looking to get Brown involved early, Jalen Hurts targeted the wide receiver three times for 31 yards (10.3 avg) and a 16-yard touchdown catch on the first drive. Brown was up to 5 catches for 67 yards and 1 TD in the 1st quarter, and his five receptions are the most in the first quarter of his career. Brown had five catches for 64 yards (13.4 avg) and one touchdown. DeVonta Smith had three catches for 58 yards in the first half. Overall, Brown finished with eight catches for 110 yards and one touchdown. Smith finished with six catches for 89 yards.

The Eagles held the Cowboys to 3-5 on third downs, while Philadelphia was 4-6 on third downs and 3-3 in the red zone. Baun is the only NFL player with 80+ tackles, 3.0+ sacks, and 2+ takeaways this season. Baun logged eight tackles in the first half, while Reed Blankenship had seven tackles and two passes defended. Overall, Baun finished with nine tackles and one pass defended. The Eagles allowed 25 first downs, 5-12 on third downs, and 348 passing yards.
