The Wisconsin Badgers dropped out of the AP Poll after their blowout loss to No. 9 BYU.
The Badgers previously sat at No. 23 in the Week 3 poll. The 28-point defeat, the program's first by more than 20 points in nearly two full years, was enough for voters to drop the team to the 'receiving votes' category. It did receive 45 votes, positioning the team as the first outside the top 25.

Its ranking is somewhat uniform across the board; the team is viewed as a threat to rise into the tier of Big Ten contenders, if all goes right. However, significant improvement is needed for it to threaten the nation's best.
Wisconsin will look to reclaim its spot in the AP Poll when it faces Providence in the Rady Children's Invitational on Thursday. Greg Gard has a strong history with Thanksgiving week tournaments, including a triumph in the Greenbrier Tip-Off last season.
