The Detroit Lions pulled off a come-from-behind, overtime win in NFL Week 12 against the New York Giants. In the close contest, Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw for 279 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the 34-27 victory. He was coming off a week where he had to be evaluated for a concussion vs the Commanders, so his play against the Giants was a good sign.

After Sunday's game, he addressed the media and discussed having a short week, as the Lions (now 7-4) will return to action for their traditional Thanksgiving game.

As posted by the Lions' official page on X, Goff said that despite the hard-fought battle against the G-Men, the Lions will have no problem with the turnaround time. He and the Lions will square off with NFC North rivals, the Green Bay Packers (7-3-1).

Goff talked about how the team is prepared every season, knowing they have that holiday marked on their schedule.

"We're used to the tradition of this. We've played Green Bay in this game before, so they have some familiarity with it, too. Division rival, at our place, Thanksgiving - everything you want. So, they're a great team, and we'll be ready."

The Lions have played on Thanksgiving since 1934, compiling a 57-45-2 in those contests. In their 38 total Thanksgiving games against Green Bay, the Packers lead the series, 16-20-2.
