The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have dealt with a wide receiver group that has taken a beating this year. Emeka Egbuka has been the rock they have relied on, while the three starters from last season have missed significant time.
One of those starters is Chris Godwin.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe veteran out of Penn State has had a year to forget, similar to that of his alma mater, just for different reasons. Godwin missed the start of the year recovering from a dislocated ankle, and returned before being injured again. This time, it was revealed that he had a hairline fracture in his fibula that had him missing extended time.
However, the Bucs were optimistic for his return, and now we officially know if he is playing.
Is Chris Godwin playing in Week 12?
When the Bucs take the field against the Rams, they will have their veteran leader on the field.
After working his way back in practice ahead of the Bucs' primetime matchup with the Rams, Godwin was not included in the pregame inactive report. He will be active for the first time since Week 5 against the Seattle Seahawks. He will start alongside rookie Emeka Egbuka and Sterling Shepard. Tez Johnson is still expected to have a role but Godwin's return may dull his impact.
