Hulk has accomplished some incredible and terrible feats over his 63-year legacy in comics, especially when taking his multiverse variants into account. However, even the most die-hard Bruce Banner fans may have overlooked his strongest incarnation to date, one that makes Galactus look like a joke.

There is an exceptionally strong argument that the strongest Hulk to ever exist is the Hulk of Earth-TRN781. This is probably an Earth most casual fans haven’t heard of, yet it would likely feel familiar to them since Earth-TRN781 is believed to mirror the history of the Prime Marvel Universe. At least, that is true up until one major deviation changes everything.
Earth-TRN781 mirrored the Prime Marvel Universe until the One Below All managed to destroy Bruce Banner’s soul and possess him. For those needing a refresher, the One Below All is best summed up as the ultimate cosmic evil in Marvel Comics, essentially serving as the dark mirror to the One Above All.
Al Ewing, German Garcia, Joe Bennett’s Earth-TRN781 was first introduced in Immortal Hulk #20 (2019).
This One Below All-possessed Hulk went on to kill major names like Franklin Richards, Galactus, and Mister Immortal, proving just how overpowered this incarnation of the Green Giant truly is. However, his accolades don’t end with him killing some of Marvel’s most brilliant and powerful entities, as his role in the cosmos only escalated from there.

Two billion years after killing Franklin Richards, Galactus, and Mister Immortal, Earth-TRN781’s Hulk became the sole survivor of the Eighth Cosmos. He eventually devoured and merged with the Sentience of the Universe itself, transforming into a Galactus-like figure and emerging as the cosmic being presiding over the Ninth Cosmos. This shift cemented his place among Marvel’s most overwhelming forces.
For 10 billion years, the possessed Hulk destroyed every planet and place of life he encountered, earning the infamous title of the Breaker-Apart. His legacy closely resembles that of Galactus. However, unlike Galactus, the Breaker-Apart didn’t need to consume planets to survive. He destroyed them purely for the “love of the game,” so to speak, making his rampage even more terrifying.
The Breaker-Apart also eventually destroyed O%los, the first world of the Ninth Cosmos known as the pinnacle of beauty in the universe prior to its destruction.
The Breaker-Apart combined the cosmic power of Galactus with the inexhaustible energy of the Hulk, and since he was technically a gamma mutate (meaning a being who draws power from the One Below All), he could not truly be killed or die as long as gamma energy remained. For this reason, the Hulk of Earth-TRN781 stands as truly one of a kind.
