Entering Week 13 in college football, the marquee matchup was clearly setting up to be the No. 7 Oregon Ducks hosting the No. 15 USC Trojans. The game was essentially a play-in for a chance at the College Football Playoff, as both teams entered with just one conference loss and had been surging in recent weeks.
The game lived up to entertainment expectations, as the Ducks managed to come away with a 42-27 victory — arguably their best of the season and further bolstering their case to move up in the CFP seeding.

The Ducks looked the part of a national championship contender, a place they've positioned themselves to be in. Though a majority of the top teams around the country played weak opponents, Oregon's win moved them up in the national title odds.
