FanDuel Sportsbook to Debut In-App Group Parlay Builder on Thanksgiving

As friends and family sit down to eat some food and watch some football this Thanksgiving, FanDuel will debut a new sportsbook feature that will let bettors gather online to build some group parlays.

FanDuel began marketing on Sunday its new “Pass The Leg” feature, which on Thanksgiving will allow bettors to start or join a "Group Build" and put together NFL parlays in the company’s sportsbook app.

Members of a group can contribute three to 25 legs to the parlay, add it to their personal bet slips, and then wager however much they’d like on the final product using their own money.

The new online sports betting feature is trying to tap into what FanDuel sees as growing demand for more “communal betting experiences” and is being launched with a dedicated profit boost on Thanksgiving Day, which will have three NFL games.

“Pass The Leg” will be available only at first on Thanksgiving, and only for the three games, though it's possible FanDuel could roll out the "first-of-its-kind in-app" feature for future tentpole wagering days as well.

“Pass The Leg is all about how our customers actually experience sports - together, sharing excitement, and creating memories around the games they love,” said Karol Corcoran, FanDuel’s managing director of sportsbook, in a statement. “We listened to how fans were already collaborating in group chats and family gatherings, and built a feature that brings that natural social energy directly into their betting experience.”
