Seven teams remain in the hunt for the title of The Sporting News High School Football National Champions, and all but one of them are in action again this week as the playoffs roll on in California, Florida, Georgia, and Texas where those seven teams are located.

The nation's current No. 1 IMG Academy [Bradenton, FL] Ascenders are in 'wait-and-see' mode for the next 5-6 weeks as those playoffs continue and state champions are crowned around the country. IMG Academy doesn't participate in Florida's postseason so there's no state-level titles or hardware for the Ascenders to worry about. But they can still win at least a share of a national title if they can hold onto the No. 1 position in the ESPN rankings and here in The Sporting News High School Football Top 25.

That will depend on what happens in the coming weeks in the Class 6A ranks in Georgia and Texas along with California's Southern Section Division 1 playoffs. We'll be updating all the action, and these are the biggest games in SN's National Week 15 below.
