The 7-3 Chicago Bears host the 6-4 Pittsburgh Steelers at Soldier Field as 2.5-point favorites on Sunday. The Bears have won quite a few close games and currently sit ahead of the Lions in the NFC North, but the odds are against them holding onto that position for too long. They won’t be able to coast on their laurels to finish up this season, so winning games where they’re favored is imperative.

The Bears rushing offense has been one of the best in the league, while their passing offense has been hit and miss. The Steelers have been easier to pass on than run, but overall have been below average as a defense. There should be opportunities for Bears skill players to put up useful fantasy points this week.

Below, we’ll go over Luther Burden’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 12.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bears, WR, Luther Burden

Rookie wide receiver Luther Burden has shown big upside this season, but hasn’t had enough work to have any kind of consistency. That may be changing though, as Burden played ahead of Olamide Zaccheaus this week with 33 snaps to his 11. It was the first time this season he’s had more snaps than Zaccheaus. He tied for second on the team in targets and receptions, but it was not a good day for his fantasy stats. But, it really wasn’t a good day for any Bears fantasy player, as Caleb Williams completed just 50% of his passes for under 200 yards and no touchdowns. The Vikings pass defense is better than the Steelers though, giving us some room for improvement this week.

I believe this could be the game Burden breaks out while he’s also getting enough snaps and targets to believe in him moving forward. Of course, that doesn’t mean he is a safe play, but all signs point to him having truly moved ahead of Zaccheaus and the Steelers are weak against wide receivers, allowing the fifth-most fantasy points in the league.
