The latest update on star Packers running back Josh Jacobs doesn't necessarily rule him out for the team's Week 12 NFC North showdown with the Vikings, but it also won't reassure Green Bay fans about his status entering Sunday afternoon's contest.
According to Tom Pelissaro of the NFL Network, sources tell him that Jacobs is "pushing to play" against Minnesota, but his true status for the game is still "up in the air." In addition, Jacobs is still reportedly struggling with "tenderness in his knee" and will attempt to warm up during pre-game activities against the Vikings before a final decision is made on whether or not he'll see action for the Packers.\
This comes after Jacobs suffered a knee injury in the team's Week 11 clash with the New York Giants. Evaluations after the game showed no significant damage to the knee, but the seventh-year NFL veteran and three-time Pro Bowl selection is still feeling some soreness in the knee. He was listed as "day-to-day" earlier in the week after not practicing on Wednesday, but seeing limited action on Thursday and Friday.

He led the league in rushing yards in 2022. If he is unable to play, the Packers will give the starting nod to third-year backup Emmanuel Wilson, who did score a touchdown and add 40 rushing yards to the stat sheet in relief of Jacobs last weekend.
