The sky isn’t falling for the Lions with three losses in their past five games, but they need to right the ship before December and this is the perfect opportunity. The Giants have played close games the past two weeks, but they’re not a good team overall. I expect the Lions to have their way offensively and for Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown and the running game to get back on track. The pick: Lions 34, Giants 17.

Dan Campbell hasn’t lost two straight in more than three years. That streak stays intact this week against the awful 2-9 Giants.

But that’s getting ahead in the story. Dan Campbell will not let his team look ahead against the Giants. In fact, the Lions' offense will get back on track in a comfortable, feel-good win. This is what they do, these Lions, at least this season. They overwhelm lesser teams, especially teams that struggle to stop the run, like the Giants. And while the Giants have been pesky — even frisky (for a 2-9 team) — Dan Campbell doesn't lose back-to-back games with the Lions. Besides, the Lions are home and have listened to the skepticism for almost a week. They'll be ready. The pick: Lions 34, Giants 19.
