A young player can have skills, tricks, blinding talent and more but often the most important aspect of a young player’s transition into professional football is their mentality. How do they deal with getting pushed around, having to earn their minutes and prove their worth ahead of seasoned professionals, and stand out as the child of the roster?
Perhaps Lennart Karl should write a book on the topic because he seems to have it all figured out. Faced with the above situation, and at such a pressure rife club like Bayern Munich, too, he has made the transition to professional football look exceptionally simple. Key to that is his confidence, which is something teammate Aleksandar Pavlović readily agrees with:

Remember, he played his first minutes in adult football in June. To have come so far by November of the same year is genuinely mind boggling.
