Ramsey told reporters after the game that Chase spit on him during the altercation. Chase denied spitting on Ramsey, but there was video evidence.

Chase was suspended for the Bengals' Week 12 game against the New England Patriots, and the suspension was upheld.

Chase loses $448,333 in salary, in addition to a per-game roster bonus of $58,823.

Earlier in the game, Ramsey wasn't penalized for hitting Chase late during the second quarter. CBS analyst Trent Green said during the broadcast he thought Ramsey should have been flagged.
