Nov. 22—GRAND FORKS — South Dakota State snapped its four-game losing streak and likely clinched a playoff spot with a thrilling 34-31 win over North Dakota in overtime on Saturday at the Alerus Center.

Jack Henry's 24-yard touchdown pass to Grahm Goering on 3rd and long in overtime sent the Jacks to the win after UND had converted a field goal on their opening possession of overtime.

SDSU (8-4) will discover its playoff fate on Sunday morning per the NCAA FCS selection show.

The Jacks trailed 20-7 in the third quarter but turned a pair of Fighting Hawk turnovers into two quick touchdowns to take the a 21-10 lead. They pushed that lead to 28-20 on freshman Josiah Johnson's third rushing touchdown of the game, but UND drove the field to answer on a Jerry Kaminski touchdown pass to Nate Demontagnac, then converted the 2-point conversion to tie it.
