To be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the 2026 World Cup will see defending champions Argentina attempt to become the first nation since their rivals Brazil back in 1962 to repeat as champions. Challenging them are European giants England, France, and Germany, as well as many other top nations from all around the globe.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw will be held on December 5, 2025.

It will take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in the nation's capital, Washington D.C.

What is the Kennedy Center?

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is located in Washington D.C. on the Potomac River.

Opening in 1971 and costing $70 million, the Kennedy Center is the first performing arts center financed by the U.S. federal government.

First named the Natural Cultural Center, it was dedicated to president John F. Kennedy in 1964 following his assassination the previous year.

The center houses a concert hall, opera house, and theater. In 2013, the center underwent a 60,000 square foot expansion project, which added classroom, rehearsal, and performance spaces, as well as a reflecting pool and other civic areas.
