For the final time this season, it’s game day in Iowa City!

The Hawkeyes are poised to take to the Kinnick Stadium turf for the final time in 2025 as they play host to the Michigan State Spartans. The Spartans come into the day at 3-7 overall and riding a seven-game losing streak as they’re winless in Big Ten play.

Making matters worse for the Spartans, starting QB Aidan Chiles has missed the last two weeks while freshman backup Alessio Milivojevic has been pummeled in his two starts under center. No doubt Phil Parker will be looking to get some pressure on the quarterback today and generate sacks and/or turnovers.

On the other side of the ball, the Hawkeyes will always look to establish the run, but Iowa has a chance to attack the Spartans through the air today. Michigan State comes into the day ranked 66th nationally in pass defense and will, like everyone else, be focused on stopping Iowa’s rushing attack.

Can Iowa send its seniors out on top? Will Mark Gronowski finally get the Hawkeye passing game going in his final game in Kinnick? And can the Iowa defense generate pressure up front and set the offense up for some short fields? Or will the Spartans play the role of spoiler on senior day in Iowa City?

We’ll have our answers soon enough as the Hawkeyes and Spartans kick off in Kinnick!
