Xbox Free Play Days are constantly providing new opportunities to check out free games on the service, and the latest batch has a few notable hits available to every Xbox user. The Free Play Days initiative focuses on weekends, granting limited-time windows to play games at no cost. Unlike discrete demos, these free samples are the standard versions of games, so you're able to play as much as you like within that window.
This weekend, Xbox is making Nowhere Prophet, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, and For the King 2 free for all Xbox members, as revealed on Xbox Wire. Xbox Game Pass subscribers additionally gain access to Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game, and Wildgate. All of these games will be available until Sunday, November 23 through the Free Play Days collection on the Microsoft and Xbox digital storefronts.

Interestingly, the free games that aren't locked to Xbox Game Pass might actually be the more exciting ones this week. Nowhere Prophet has generated some mixed opinions, but a memorable art style and wasteland world help this deckbuilding roguelite stand out from the pack. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 earned a more ironclad reception, building on the action-adventure formula established in previous entries with aplomb.
For the King 2 might offer the most unique experience of the bunch, delivering an engaging riff on the random luck of tabletop dungeon crawling. Alongside up to three other players, you'll venture out on a variety of fantastical journeys that tend to meet untimely ends. The more you play, the more your strategic arsenal will prepare you to overcome the cruelty of the dice.
As for the Game Pass subscriber titles, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers is what it says on the badge, emulating the day-to-day lives of law enforcement. Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game offers an all-terrain adventure, complete with discrete missions and camping mechanics that you won't find in dirt rally racers. Finally, Wildgate takes to outer space with ship-to-ship shooting in a PvPvE multiplayer format.
You Don't Have Forever, So Be Quick
These Titles Won't Stick Around
With only a few days to enjoy the latest batch of Xbox Free Play Days games, time is of the essence. While you can definitely squeeze in a few sessions of the roguelite game inclusions after procrastinating, properly enjoying any of the titles will require an earlier start.
If you start a game and want to pick it up later, progress made during Xbox Free Play Days will transfer to a purchased version of the game. The point is to hook you, after all. This just happens to be one scenario where taking the bait can actually be worth it.
