Colin Cowherd ranks Broncos as NFL’s 2nd-best team going into Week 12

NFL analyst Colin Cowherd has had some hot takes recently, especially as it pertains to the Denver Broncos. Last week, Cowherd made the suggestion head coach Sean Payton should move on from quarterback Bo Nix and start over with a new quarterback in 2026.

This week, Cowherd sang a different tune. On his show, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, he ranked the top 10 teams in the NFL after Week 11. Cowherd ranked the Broncos as the second-best team in the league.

"What is the difference between Seattle and Denver if they played tomorrow?" asked Cowherd. "A point and a half? That's how close this thing is. Six out of seven games have been decided like the Kansas City game. Their offense has been held to one touchdown in back-to-back games, but I do believe... there are teams that are good in close games."

Cowherd then went on to compliment Payton and Nix. "It usually comes down to an elite play designer and play caller, and a quarterback who's good late in games in final drives," Cowherd said. "That was Mahomes last year, that's Bo Nix this year."

Nix has proven his late-game magic and his ability as a leader for the Broncos in 2025. Denver rests this week on their bye, and will get back to work in Week 13.
