Before the international break, Bayern Munich was faced with a prototypical trap game and, well, fell right into the trap.

The result was a 2-2 draw where the Bavarians needed a late score to knot it up. Now, with a massive game against Arsenal looming on Wednesday, will Bayern Munich get caught looking ahead?

Sporting director Christoph Freund does not think so.

“It’s special when the top two teams [in the table] play each other twice in a row; that doesn’t happen often. Two absolute top games. Both away games. Arsenal are in outstanding form. It’s extremely impressive how solid they are and how few goals they’ve conceded. However, this game isn’t on our minds yet because we’re looking forward to (Saturday)’s Bundesliga match against Freiburg,” said Freund (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

With the game at the Allianz Arena, it would be disappointing to fans for the Bavarians to come out flat. After the Union Berlin result, it just feels like Bayern Munich won’t get fooled again. Ah hell…ladies and gentlemen…THE WHO!
