The Spartans improved to 5-0 on the year, with a 84-56 victory over Detroit Mercy on Friday night from the Breslin Center. Michigan State led throughout, carrying a 16-point lead into halftime and only building upon that in the second half.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFour of the Spartans' five starters reached double-digits in points on Friday, led by Jeremy Fears Jr. who finished the game with 18 points and 11 assists. Jaxon Kohler and Coen Carr were right behind with 13 points each, and Carson Cooper also had 12 points.
