One of the Spartans' in-state offensive lineman commits has made it official.

Tristan Comer of Freeland, Mich. signed his national letter of intent with the Spartans on Wednesday -- the opening day of the early signing period. Comer's signing with Michigan State was made official late on Wednesday, joining a long list of future Spartans that also signed earlier in the day.

Comer is a three-star offensive lineman, with a recruiting rating of 87 on 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 90 offensive tackle and No. 19 player from Michigan in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class.

Comer has been verbally committed to Michigan State since June, and made it clear quickly after the firing of Jonathan Smith that he would still sign with the Spartans during the early signing period. He also held notable offers from Northwestern, West Virginia, Oregon State and Army.
