Jerimy Finch Jr. will be a Volunteer.
Finch, one of the most high-profile football recruits in the state’s senior class, announced at Warren Central on Wednesday afternoon that he was flipping his commitment from Alabama to Tennessee on the first day of the early signing period.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe 6-3, 280-pound Finch committed to Alabama in June but had stayed in communication with Tennessee throughout the months leading up to signing day and took a visit to Knoxville in November, along with making a visit to Alabama.
The three-star prospect is one of the most accomplished players in Warren Central’s storied football history. He finished his senior season with 85 tackles (58 solo), along with 23 tackles for loss, 7½ sacks, two rushing touchdowns, one punt return for a touchdown and one safety. Finch racked up 273 total tackles for his career, along with 67 TFLs and 26 ½ sacks.
