HENRIETTA, N.Y. (WROC) – Rush-Henrietta rallied back from a first-quarter deficit to take an overtime win over East Rochester, 57-52, to open its season.
East Rochester started the game with a 7-0 run, finishing the first quarter with a 13-4 lead.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementRush-Henrietta opened the second quarter with a run of its own, scoring eight unanswered points. At the half, East Rochester led by just one point, 23-22.
The game remained close through the third as the Bombers stayed in front 34-32, but Rush-Henrietta caught up in the fourth to force the game to overtime.
R-H finished the rally in extra minutes, securing its first win of the season.
Rush-Henrietta (1-0) will travel to Greece Athena/Odyssey on Thursday, December 4. East Rochester (0-2) will host Greece Arcadia/Olympia on Friday, December 5.
