Well, it looks like Carolina Panthers head coach Dave Canales won't have to answer any more questions about a possible reunion with Adam Thielen.

As announced this afternoon, the former two-time Pro Bowl wideout has been claimed off waivers by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Thielen was granted his request for a release by the Minnesota Vikings on Monday.

After spending the first decade of his NFL career with the Vikings, Thielen signed a three-year deal to join the Panthers ahead of the 2023 campaign. He went on to lead the team in receiving over his two seasons there—totaling 151 catches for 1,629 yards and nine touchdowns in 27 games.

The Detroit Lakes, Minn. native then returned home in late August—as Carolina traded Thielen, a conditional 2026 seventh-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Vikings in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 fourth-round pick.

Thielen amassed just eight receptions for 69 yards in his 11 games for the Vikings this season.
