Flip szn continued for the Texas Longhorns on the eve of Early Signing Day as head coach Steve Sarkisian’s program landed a Tuesday pledge from Boulder (Colo.) Fairview athlete Toray Davis, who was formerly committed to the UCLA Bruins.
The 6’1, 185-pounder received his offer from Texas on October 20 and took an official visit to the Forty Acres for the win over Texas A&M, enough of the late push from the Longhorns to take advantage of a Bruins program in extreme disarray.

Other offers for the consensus four-star prospect included Colorado, Colorado State, Iowa State, Minnesota, Oregon State, and San Diego State.
Davis is ranked as the No. 298 player nationally and the No. 18 athlete, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, but projects as a defensive back for the Longhorns, most likely at safety.
Last season, Davis recorded 51 carries for 428 yards and six touchdowns, 37 catches for 769 yards and 11 touchdowns, and 49 tackles, four interceptions, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery while returning 11 kickoffs f0r 263 yards.
