Ahead of the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day clash, CeeDee Lamb was the center of attention due to his drop issues a week earlier in the win against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Lamb bounced back in the win against Kansas City, with seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown, to put the drop issue once again behind him.

Granted, CeeDee is an All-Pro, so it isn't like he suddenly forgot how to catch the football; most just chalk it up to one of those games.

This week, Lamb was brutally frank as he detailed his thoughts on his bounce-back game, but also what was the cause of him dropping so many balls against Philadelphia.

"It feels good," Lamb said. "Just overall getting back on the right track. I feel like it's a momentum thing, and as a receiver, I feel like everything is confidence-based. I wouldn't say I lost any confidence.

"It was more so just getting in my own head, and I feel you can't really do that in this position. Especially with as many games as we have coming up or just different situations, you can't really let what happened last game, good or bad, reflect what's going to happen this one."

So CeeDee was in his own head. Maybe that's why we've termed what was going on that day "the yips.''

Having had issues with drops earlier this year in his career and seeing him bounce back every time, there was no doubt Lamb was going to catch a lot of balls against the Chiefs.

But now, as one of the leaders of the team, and at a point in the season where the Cowboys have no margin for error, the "drops" can't resurface if Dallas wants to make the playoffs.

Lamb - who has put up big numbers with 74 catches for 936 yards and five TDs despite missing time with his ankle injury - feels like he is out of his head and "back" where he is supposed to be, and against the Detroit Lions in Week 14 on Thursday, Dallas will need its All-Pro to be at the top of his game.
