Try something different:

Explain it like I’m 5
Give me a lighthearted recap
Browsing Prime Video this weekend, viewers will find three movies that make for an interestingly dark binge, with a Sci-Fi twist to it, though an emotional sports drama and a documentary ensure that the weekend will also be grounded. As one of the biggest streaming services around, Prime Video offers a nice variety of content, having something for everyone.
However, this time around, I looked at the streaming service and found what could be an ideal structure for a three-movie marathon in the form of a darker go-around. Major stars are involved, like Zac Efron and The Bear's Jeremy Allen White, but these Prime Video movies will land really well for those who believe the truth is out there.
3 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)
First up is 10 Cloverfield Lane. This one is special, as Prime Video subscribers must rush to watch the movie this Friday and Saturday, as the film will soon leave the streamer on Sunday, November 23. The Cloverfield movie franchise is a personal favorite. The first film is one of the entries that defined the found footage genre.
10 Cloverfield Lane is set in the Cloverfield universe, though it was not originally meant to be. As such, we are left with a gripping psychological horror that has the main character, Mary Elizabeth Winstead's Michelle, locked in a bunker trying to find out if her captor is being truthful about the horrors that await outside. This confined thriller is incredibly tense.
2 The Age of Disclosure (2025)
After a fictional exploration of aliens, those interested in the subject might find The Age of Disclosure, a documentary that premiered on Prime Video today, November 21, the perfect follow-up. We have all heard stories about alien sightings and what may or may not be going on inside Area 51.
Directed by Dan Farah, The Age of Disclosure uses testimony of 34 U.S. Government, military, and intelligence community insiders to explore what could be a secret government program that has been hiding any discoveries related to alien life and technology. Those interested in alien discoveries or conspiracy theories can make weekend plans based on this one.
1 The Iron Claw (2023)
Finally, the last Prime Video movie to finish our weekend binge pulls away from aliens. The Iron Claw is very much a human drama, focusing on the iconic Von Erich family of wrestlers. Led by Zac Efron in what I believe should have been an Academy Award-nominated performance, the movie features a star-studded cast at the top of its game.
The Iron Claw will make you experience every emotion possible. The highs are triumphantly depicted onscreen, with splashy wrestling moves and heartwarming character dynamics, while the lows make for one gut punch after the other. This is a movie that will hit you in your feelings with a tragic story that feels so sad that it can't be true, but it is. Rush to Prime Video for this one.
