Prime Video is gaining massive success globally thanks to one of the latest films from Taron Egerton. After having a strong critical reception, one of 2025's darkest films is finding more momentum in the world of streaming.
Exactly four months after its release on August 1, She Rides Shotgun has emerged as a massive streaming hit, as the film is currently trending #1 worldwide for Prime Video. The story centers on Nate McClusky having to protect his estranged daughter, as enemies have put a target on his head.
Several countries where it is dominating the #1 spot on Prime Video are Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, New Zealand, Nigeria, and Peru. Other countries where it's performing as Prime Video's #1 include Sweden, Spain, England, and Paraguay.
Based on Jordan Harper's book, he co-wrote the film adaptation with Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, while Nick Rowland helmed it. Egerton didn't just work on the project in front of the camera, as he also served as a producer on it.
She Rides Shotgun is currently sitting with 87% in the Critics' Score on Rotten Tomatoes, while having 91% on the Popcornmeter. In ScreenRant's She Rides Shotgun movie review, Rachel Labonte praised Egerton's performance, stating, "It's a brilliant, gut-wrenching performance. It's made all the better by Egerton's chemistry with Heger."
Ana Sophia Heger, who plays Polly Huff, was also one of the highlights of the film adaptation, with Labonte calling "the young actor is a revelation, effortlessly flitting between Polly's wide-eyed sweetness and her darker side, which is growing at a concerning rate throughout the film." She Rides Shotgun also stars John Carroll Lynch as Houser, David Lyons as Jimmy, Rob Yang as Detective John Park, and Odessa A'zion as Charlotte.
She Rides Shotgun, which is rated R, is available for streaming on Prime Video.
