The New York Giants' offense was dealt a pair of devastating blows earlier this season when the team lost wide receiver Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo to significant injuries.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementSkattebo, who provided a major spark once he was given more opportunities, suffered a dislocated ankle in Week 8, while Nabers was diagnosed with a torn ACL after hurting himself in Week 4.
It's always bad news to lose promising young players to injuries, but that's especially true in this instance because their injuries make rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart's job more difficult.
So, will the Giants get either young player back this season?
Here's what we know.
Will Cam Skattebo return in 2025?
No, Skattebo won't play for the rest of the season, as his injury is a season-ending issue.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe good news is, Skattebo should be ready to go by the start of the 2026 season, at the latest, after undergoing successful surgery.
In the meantime, the Giants have been deploying fellow running back Tyrone Tracy as the starter, and veteran rusher Devin Singletary has been the RB2.
Will Malik Nabers return in 2025?
No, Nabers won't return from his injury this season, either.
A torn ACL is a season-ending injury and the recovery timeline for that issue is usually nine months, barring any setbacks.
That means Nabers will be ready to roll by the start of next season if all goes well.
With Nabers sidelined, veteran wideout Wan'Dale Robinson is posting career-best numbers. The former second-round pick has a career-high 794 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He needs one more score to set a new personal best.
