There is no other way to put it for Kansas City Chiefs fans: the season is on life support.

Needing to win out at the very least after the loss to the Dallas Cowboys that dropped them to 6-6, the Chiefs know they can't afford to lose any game for the rest of the season.

If they do, they'll be relying on other results to go their way, and that isn't a good spot to be for a playoff hopeful.

But when asked if he believes that his team can run the table, head coach Andy Reid gave an all-time answer.

"I believe that, we're going to come after you every game, that's how we roll," Reid said. "We're going to try and tickle your tonsils on every play, every game, but that's the attitude that we're coming in with. Then you let the chips fall where they may. But at the same time, you got to make sure you take care of the small things, get rid of some of these mistakes."

Hmm, tickle your tonsils, Andy?

Chiefs all gas, no brakes for playoff football

Essentially, what Reid is saying (we think) is that he's going to empty the offensive kit bag for these next five games.

The entire playbook is open, the Chiefs will be aggressive (within reason, I'd imagine) and will be looking to light up the quarterback on defense, and offensively, they are going to use their full array of weapons to hang 30+ points on you every week.

That is the mentality, and when your season is on the line, that is the mentality you have to have.

Time will tell if it works.

But even at 6-6, there's no shortage of confidence coming from that locker room.
