Tom Aspinall takes issue with Dana White saying he didn't want to continue at UFC 321.
UFC heavyweight champion Aspinall (15-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) suffered a nasty eye poke in his title fight against Ciryl Gane (13-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in October in Abu Dhabi, which rendered him unable to continue. White was asked about the incident after the fight at the post-fight news conference, where he claimed Aspinall opted not to continue.

"Well listen, I didn't continue, and I'll tell you why I didn't continue: Because I'm not a f*cking dummy," Aspinall said on his YouTube channel. "I'm not going to go out there and fight one of the best strikers in the world if I can't see with any eye. I know as an MMA fighter, things are going to happen in the fight that compromise you. ...I ain't going to fight if I can't see anything because of a foul. If it's a legal move, we have to fight through it. That's what we do as fighters. But when it's a foul, why am I going to put my health at risk when I can't see at all?"
The plan is to have Aspinall's fight with Gane rebooked as soon as possible. However, Aspinall doesn't yet have an update on when he'll be cleared to compete.
"Look, it's not up to me," Aspinall said. "It's up to the doctors at the minute. I'm allowed to do nothing, so I'm just following advice at the moment. What's next for me right now is this talk of surgery on the eyes. We've got to see how it goes in the next few weeks. Obviously, that's down to the specialists and stuff, but I'm not in the gym training at the moment. I'm not doing anything MMA-wise at the moment. I'm just following the doctor's orders right now and seeing what happens with the health."
