The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense has had some ups and downs in 2025 with new play caller Josh Grizzard and injuries littering the depth chart.

Whenever you have those issues, sometimes it is best to get creative. You can do that by running a reverse, a flea-flicker, or perhaps a Tampa Bay version of the Philly Special. All of those have been seen time and again, but what has also happened but gets forgotten is offensive linemen becoming eligible receivers. We have seen the Lions do it several times in recent years with Dan Skipper. He became a fan favorite in the process, but not one of the better offensive linemen for the team.

On Sunday, the Bucs utilized their best offensive lineman, Tristan Wirfs, and made him become a wide receiver to spice up the offense.

The team may not need to use their offensive lineman anymore for redzone opportunities as Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan are primed for a return. The offense getting healthy is perfect timing for them to see their schedule become full of divisional opponents, with the lead in the NFC South at just one game for Tampa Bay.
