Leeds United are proud to be supporting Leeds Rhinos legend Kev Sinfield’s 7 in 7: Together challenge, raising money and awareness for those impacted by motor neurone disease.
Kev, who along with his team have already raised over £10 million with five previous challenges, is set to run seven ultra-marathons in seven days across seven cities or regions.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementEach day will include an Extra Mile event, where members of the MND community will join Sinfield for one mile, and this year, Kev and the team will visit new locations that could be overlooked by major events so that the MND community in each know they are not forgotten.
The challenge will start today, Monday 1st December, in East Anglia, then across the Irish Sea to the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday. On Wednesday the 7 in 7 challenge heads to Wales for a circuit in Swansea, before a Thursday trip to South Yorkshire for a marathon around the hills of Sheffield.
On Friday the 5th, the ex-Rhinos captain will take to Cumbria, and on Saturday, Scotland will host Kev and the team. The challenge will be completed on Sunday as the event turns to Leeds for the first time since 2023, and the passing of former-teammate Rob Burrow last year from MND. It will start in North Yorkshire before culminating at AMT Headingly Rugby Stadium.
Six MND charities will once again benefit from the challenge. The MND Association are the main beneficiary along with donations to Leeds Hospital Charity’s support for the Rob Burrow Centre, Irish MND Association, Darby Rimmer Foundation, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and MND Scotland.
Supporters can also text 70143 and use the following messages to donate: Kevin for £7, Kevin10 for £10, or Kevin20 for £20.
