Pundit: Chelsea are “gonna be around now” after ‘impressive’ display vs Arsenal

One pundit says that Chelsea are going to be around now after an impressive display against Arsenal last night.

Despite not winning the game, Chelsea for me were the better team against Arsenal last night despite playing 60 minutes of the match with ten men.

They didn’t just go toe-to-toe against the current Premier League leaders, they looked better than them for chunks of the game.

Chelsea even scored first in the game when Trevoh Chalobah got on the end of a set piece to head home and have the whole home fans section believing that they could even go on to beat this Arsenal side even with one less player.

The performance even got often critical pundit Steve Nicol admitting that Chelsea have now finally taken a step forward in their project.

And another pundit, Robbie Mustoe, has been waxing lyrical about Chelsea after the game.

Mustoe told NBC after the game, in words cited on X:

“It’s such a shame, given the 10 men situation. This Chelsea team, I mean, that’s impressive. That’s a lot of steel there. With the talent we know that they’ve got, they’re not going anywhere, Chelsea.

“Chelsea gonna be around now. They’re gonna be a threat for Arsenal. This is gonna be a very big game in seasons to come, because they’re improving, they’re maturing, they’re getting better.”

Chelsea have everyone believing

Right now, Chelsea are in some great form and they have everyone believing in them again and believing in this project.

It’s taken a while to get there though, but Chelsea have maintained that they always expected it to take a while. And of course, we’re not there yet either, there is a long season ahead still but the signs are great.
