Kentucky volleyball’s dominant 2025 campaign is officially rolling into the postseason, as the Wildcats secured one of the four No. 1 seeds in this year’s NCAA Tournament. Revealed during Sunday night’s Selection Show, Kentucky was announced as the No. 2 overall seed, joining fellow top seeds Nebraska, Texas, and Pitt.
The Wildcats enter the tournament as one of the hottest teams in the country. Kentucky has won 22 straight matches and carries a 25-2 overall record into postseason play. Their résumé includes a flawless 15-0 SEC record and the program’s ninth consecutive regular-season SEC championship, cementing their place as one of college volleyball’s elite.

The Wildcats powered past Auburn (3-0), Tennessee (3-1), and Texas (3-2) to lift the tournament trophy, showcasing their depth, resilience, and ability to perform under postseason pressure.
Throughout the regular season, Kentucky collected several marquee wins, including two sweeps over Texas and a five-set battle against Nebraska that pushed the top-seeded Huskers to the brink. Their only setbacks came in a competitive 3-2 loss to Nebraska and a 3-0 defeat against Pitt, giving the Wildcats a clear picture of the challenge ahead.
With their top-two national seed, Kentucky will host the opening weekend inside Memorial Coliseum, gaining a crucial home-court advantage. The Wildcats will open the tournament against Wofford in the first round, setting the stage for what they hope will be another deep postseason run under head coach Craig Skinner.
