The Indianapolis Colts fall to 8-4 on the season, after suffering a 20-16 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 13, and just lost back-to-back games for the first time this season.

Here is a look at how everything went down:

The first four possessions came up empty, including three straight punts and a turnover on downs early in the second quarter. However, thankfully, the Texans struggled to find their footing on offense as well.

After knocking in a 23-yard field goal on Houston’s opening drive of the game, the Texans seemed to mirror the Colts' offense. Back-to-back possessions ended in punts, and then CJ Stroud threw an interception to Cam Bynum.

Bynum's interception set up the Colts' first score of the game just three plays later, when Daniel Jones found Alec Pierce for a 19-yard touchdown pass to take a 6-3 lead, with Michael Badgley missing the extra point.

The Texans responded with an eight-play, 67-yard drive that ended in a four-yard touchdown run from Nick Chubb to retake a 10-6 lead. Kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn tacked on a 43-yard field goal midway through the third quarter to extend Houston’s lead to 13-6, but the Colts responded with a score of their own.

Jones found tight end Tyler Warren for a 12-yard touchdown pass, and this time Madgley converted the extra point, tying the game at 13-13 entering the fourth quarter.

However, Houston retook the lead early in the fourth quarter after a 7-yard touchdown run from wide receiver Nico Collins. Fairbairn converted the extra point, and the Texans kicked the ball back to the Colts' offense, hoping to get a crucial stop.

Houston held the Colts to 41 yards on eight plays, and Badgley was forced to kick a 42-yard field goal to cut the Texans’ lead to 20-16.

Now it is the Colts who need a stop to prevent the Texans from opening up a two-score lead, and the Colts' defense had an incredible three-play stand in their own red zone.

After Texans running back Woody Marks rushed for nine yards on first down to the Colts' 17-yard line, Houston was stopped for no gain on three consecutive plays, resulting in a turnover on downs, giving the ball back to the Colts with 4:45 remaining in the game with a chance to take the lead.

Indianapolis gave a valiant effort, stormed 52 yards down the field, and got as far as the Texans' 31-yard line before the offense stalled for the final time of the day.

Jones threw three straight incompletions to different receivers -- Pierce, Josh Downs and then Michael Pittman Jr. -- resulting in a turnover on downs, and gave the ball back to Houston with 1:45 remaining in the game.

While the Colts still had all three timeouts and a chance to possibly get the ball back, the Texans did what the Colts failed to do on their final possession: get a first down.

Marks sealed the game for the Texans, and the Colts now look to prepare to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14.
