What a magic season it’s been for the Chicago Bears. They find themselves at 9-3 and atop the NFC North. This didn’t just start during the season for Chicago, though.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThis started back in the offseason.
By hiring head coach Ben Johnson and defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, retooling their offensive line to become one of the best units in the league, and drafting stud TE Colston Loveland, they built the team we see now months ago.
After coming out to a rough 0-2 start, the Bears have since rattled off nine wins in their last ten outings. While many of their wins were criticized due to the strength of their opponents, their last victory over the Philadelphia was a statement win that can’t be denied.

By securing a victory on Friday against Philadelphia, plus a win by the Carolina Panthers over the LA Rams, the Bears find themselves in unfamiliar territory.

Thanks to an unreal upset by Bryce Young and the Panthers, the Chicago Bears find themselves atop not just the NFC North, but the entirety of the conference.
They haven’t fully captured the #1 seed in the conference quite yet, as there are five games left to be played. The last time they captured the number one overall seed in the NFC? It was 2006, and the Bears went all the way to the Super Bowl.
There are some massive tests that still lie ahead for Chicago. They still play the Green Bay Packers twice, as well as the Detroit Lions and the San Francisco 49ers.
