Lane Kiffin leaving Ole Miss for LSU on Sunday afternoon could definitely hurt the team's College Football Playoff seeding, but it should still get into the field as one of the 12 teams.

The team's Friday victory over hated rival Mississippi State should cement its place among the 12-team field. A single-loss Ole Miss team should have an automatic ticket into the bracket, even without Kiffin.

Interim coach Pete Golding will have his hands full with coaching Ole Miss for the first time in a playoff game, but the team is talented enough to win at least one College Football Playoff game.

KIFFIN CHAOS: Lane Kiffin doesn't know how to say goodbye.

The College Football Playoff selection committee can always be a bit finicky, but we still feel like Ole Miss will make it despite Kiffin taking the LSU job. We're not sure where the team will be seeded, but it should still make it.

If Ole Miss somehow gets left out because of Kiffin's decision, the committee will have some explaining to do.
