As the offseason rolls on, we continue to get information about what next year’s team might look like. With Friday’s 4 p.m. CST non-tender deadline, the Brewers will have more clarity about their payroll situation.
The first move of the day involved Jake Bauers returning on a one-year contract, avoiding arbitration. Bauers has been a valuable player since joining the team in 2024, especially thriving this year in a part-time role. Appearing in 86 games, Bauers slashed .235/.353/.399 with a 114 wRC+.
According to Adam McCalvy, there are six other players that are eligible for arbitration. This list includes William Contreras, Nick Mears, Trevor Megill, Garrett Mitchell, Brice Turang, and Andrew Vaughn.
