Kyren Williams injury update: Rams RB questionable to return vs. Panthers

The Los Angeles Rams are engaged in an offensive showdown with the Carolina Panthers, but they may have to finish the game without one of their key offensive playmakers.

Rams running back Kyren Williams suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's game. The team announced the running back is "questionable" to return because of the ailment.

It wasn't immediately clear when Williams suffered the injury. He handled seven carries for 39 yards in the first half but saw more of an even split of playing time with backup Blake Corum, who had five carries for 41 yards and a touchdown in the first half.

If Williams can't return to action, Corum figures to handle the bulk of Los Angeles' rushing workload. The Rams also have veteran Ronnie Rivers on their active game-day roster.
