The Pittsburgh Steelers won't have left tackle Broderick Jones on the field for at least the next four games.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThat's because Jones suffered a neck injury in the Week 12 loss to the Chicago Bears that also forced his early exit from the contest.
With Jones forced to miss at least four games, the earliest he can return is in Week 17 against the Cleveland Browns.
However, it appears he's going to be out a lot longer than that.
When is Broderick Jones coming back?
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac, Jones' neck injury is worse than initially believed and the expectation is he will miss the rest of the 2025 campaign.
"Broderick Jones has a neck injury that is more serious than originally thought and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season, per sources," Dulac reported.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe team has not confirmed this is the case just yet, so there is still hope Jones will make it back at some point this season.
Until he does, the Steelers are deploying veteran Andrus Peat at left tackle, and he will be backed up by Calvin Anderson.
Peat has not looked like the Pro Bowl offensive lineman he used to be in recent years and his success in the NFL came at guard, not tackle.
If Peat struggles, we would imagine the Steelers won't hesitate to pull him in favor of Anderson. Either way, both players will be a downgrade from Jones, who has been playing better as the season has progressed.
